I find few things harder to do then to figure out dates and time lengths. Thankfully, there is timeanddate.com!
This website has one of the greatest tools I have seen on the web and it is pretty fun too. The Date Duration Calculator allows you to input two dates and see how much time passed in between. For example, the first Star Wars movie was released on May 25, 1977, and the last movie was release on May 19, 2005. If I asked you to calculate how many days passed in between you would have some serious math homework. But, if you used the Date Duration Calculator, you would get a report like the image below.
The KidsKnowIt Network is like the Jack of All Trades website for education. This 100% free website features educational: games, websites, worksheets, movies, and even music. The subject material ranges from simples math to high school chemistry.
One of the best parts of this website for teachers may be the worksheet portion. They currently offer over 4,000 worksheets that are Common Core aligned and also free!
Also, be sure to check out my favorite game, Turkey Terminator. There is truly no better way to learn about fractions then to fling pumpkin pies at turkeys!
